At Texas Food Reviews, our mission is to preserve the culinary identity of Texas—one meal, one town, one story at a time. We believe in documentation with integrity, which is why we’ve outlined the following editorial standards to guide everything we publish.
1. Texas-Only Reviews
We only review restaurants, diners, taco trucks, smokehouses, bakeries, and food stops located within the state of Texas. Our reviews are based on local favorites and word-of-mouth recommendations—not PR lists or influencer trends. We often begin research by digging into Yelp, Map reviews, and community posts to uncover what real Texans are talking about.
2. Texas Integrity
All content is written to showcase the best locations in texas. We are not paid to post spots, we find the local favorite places online and craft our own reviews.
3. No Sponsored Posts
We do not accept money in exchange for reviews. Ever.
If a rare collaboration or comped experience occurs, it will be clearly labeled—and will still be subject to the same honest, unfiltered review process. Respect for our readers comes first.
4. Image Use
Photos used on this site may be taken by the author or generated using AI to visually represent the spirit of a dish, town, or atmosphere when photography isn’t possible. If a photo is AI-generated or enhanced, we’ll label it clearly and use it in good faith to preserve the story being told.
5. Corrections & Updates
We’re human. If we ever publish incorrect information—whether it’s a name, location, cultural context, or dish detail—we welcome your feedback. Verified corrections will be updated promptly, with a note on the edit for transparency.
